Description: This listing is for 10 medium devil's claws. These are the dried pods of a sprawling plant that I grew in my garden at my home near Tucson AZ. The color ranges from near black to brown to tan, and are 9"-13" long. Indian women use strips of the claws for the black designs in their baskets. I've tried and it's really hard. I got my first claws from a seed collecting and selling store here in Tucson. They told me they got their supply from a Native American man who grew them on the reservation for the women who make baskets. Some of these pods are the white seeded variety and some are the black seeded perennial type. They have 20+ seeds inside each pod. They have pink flowers without much scent, and yellow highly perfumed flowers. The pods are full of seeds, and they are easy to start. People use them for decorative arrangements with dried flowers, arrangements sometimes with gourds
