Description: Sikaflex®-291 adheres effectively to a broad range of substrates and offers excellent resistance to aging and weathering. It is elastic, emits a low odor, and is non-corrosive. Additionally, it can be painted over and sanded. It is recognized under NSF for Proprietary Substances and Nonfood Compounds (available in black and white). In terms of usage, Sikaflex®-291 serves as a versatile solution for marine construction. It is ideal for creating elastic, vibration-resistant joint seals and can be used for various interior sealing tasks. It adheres well to materials typically used in marine construction, such as wood, metals, metal primers, paint coatings (2-C systems), ceramics, and plastics (GRP, etc.). However, it should not be used on plastics susceptible to stress cracking, like Plexiglas and Polycarbonate. Once cured, Sikaflex®-291 can be sanded smoothly.
