Description: 18” Black Country Icelandic Dressage Saddle 18” Black Country Icelandic Dressage Saddle This is such a cool saddle from one of our all around favorite saddle makers, Black Country! This cool saddle is an older one and came to us for a full refurb, showing that quality tack will last a lifetime (or two) with care and maintenance. This saddle is a unique design-has the feel of a dressage saddle, has the profile of an Icelandic saddle, and the look of an classic Arabian/saddle seat GP saddle. Offers chocolate brown lightly textured bull leather over the flaps and very soft leather over the knee rolls and seat. Has Black Country's famed serge panels, which are wool covered (rather than leather covers) panels with a half/K Panel design that reduces bulk and offers a great, close contact fit. On what appears to be a Medium tree, with the gullet measuring 4.5" with ample wither clearance, wider channel, and a curvier tree. This one is perfect for horses with rock to their top line. Offers a true 18" seat with a narrow twist and a more open seat. It has had velcro panels added to the sweat flap to allow for removable blocks. Comes with a long/moderate block installed on the front patch. This saddle would be a great all event saddle, perfect for dressage or even trails. Offers AP billets. We've done a full refurb with this including restitching the panels, full reflock, replaced stitching in many places, and restitched the billets. It offers very soft leather, a great feel, and an incredibly comfortable ride! While being an older saddle, it's in very good used condition with a few of cosmetic blemishes, but all minor. Had a very small hole (about the size of a pencil eraser) on the serge panels that has been repaired. At this price, you can't go wrong for a quality saddle like this!
