Description: Listed is an 1814 large cent, the sheldon 294 variety. This coin is a rarity 1. This is a true "workhorse" coin and lowball. The date is completely worn off, but the reverse is comparatively strong. The die variety was painstakingly determined by the positioning of the letters relative to the wreath on the reverse and star 6 on the obverse. Note the location of the leaves with respect to the 'T' and 'D' in "UNITED". That reduces the potential die pairings to S- 281, 282, 283, 286, 287 and, 294. The rotation of star 6 is directed through a large portion of the turban, which is only observed for S294. Please see the pictures for the coin you will receive.
