One volume has tape holding the front cover board and the other volume has the front cover board entirely detached. Ex-library from the Portsmouth Athenaeum with the information on the front inside covers of both volumes and stamped onto a few pages. Pages have age-related toning and foxing. Hinges are worn, but pages remain attached with support. Edges of pages have age-related toning and wear. Some pages have slight staining. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. The Panopolist was a monthly religious magazine edited by Jeremiah Evarts, a Christian missionary and activist. He ran the Panpolist for twenty years, and penned many essays on the rights of Indigenous Americans. Evarts was one of the leading voices that stood against the Indian Removal movement.
