The coin was struck in his 15th year (1852 AD) of his reign. The coin is dated 1255 on the bottom of the reverse, which is the date of Abdull Majid accession to the throne. The reverse also indicates the coin was struck in Misr current day Current Day Fustat on the outskirts of Cairo the capital of modern Egypt. The obverse of the coin has the sultan's toughra and a rose to the right. Please view the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. The coin has minimum wear and surface scratches and minor bag marks especially on the edge. It also has some minor soiling but nothing to really worry about.
