It's interesting to note the strong impression of the devices imposing themselves on the motifs on the opposite side, creating a "Mint Bloom" effect. The entire mintage of Trimes across all three Types, was 40,073,103. Of these, 2,269,603 were Type 2 and scarcer yet, the Type 3 mintage was 1,572,608, leaving a balance of 36,230,900 pieces coined in the first three yeats of production. Many "Trimes" were subsequently melted by the Mint. A nice example to represent this Type 1 Variety
