The English Illustrated Magazine was a monthly publication that ran for 359 issues between October 1883 and August 1913, featuring segments on travel, topography and fiction.The English Illustrated Magazine from 1883-1884, starts with the issue of October 1883 and finishes with the September 1884 issue, thus including eleven issues. These issues included various articles such as Rosetti's influence in Art, The Pianoforte and its precursors, An Unsentimental Journey Through Cornwall and The Women of Chaucer. The English Illustrated Magazine from 1891-1892, starts with the October 1891 issues and finished with August 1892, thus including eleven issues. Some of the articles and writings that appear in these issue are The North-Eastern Railway and Its Engines, Love-Birds and Pigmy Parrots, Some Musical Performers and The Little Mermaid. The volumes are extensively illustrated throughout. CONDITION In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading and bumping to the spines and a few light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
