Hardcover bound in full blue leather with a gilt stamped school emblem on the front cover. Covers ruled in gilt, and the spine is rubbed and has elaborate gilt stamping in the compartments. The binding is rubbed and bumped. The hinges are more heavily rubbed but are sturdy. All edges marbled. Marbled endpapers. The front pastedown has a school's presentation bookplate from "Probus School" and signed by the principal and dated 1887. Illustrated with 12 photos laid down on thicker stock paper (the photos are of different examples of art work and not actual photos of people or places).
