Description: 1899 Newfoundland 50 cents. The obverse shows Queen Victoria facing left, with the legend around the border "VICTORIA DEI GRATIA REGINA NEWFOUNDLAND". The reverse shows in the center "50 CENTS 1899", surrounded by a beaded circle. Between the circle and the rim is an interlocking row of decoration shapes. The piece is a natural medium to dark gray toned color of silver. Victoria still retains a lot of the hair detail in the portrait. There are several typical from circulation marks on the area of the face, neck, and hair, but none of them are large or heavy marks. The reverse shows some typical miscellaneous marks from circulation, also.
