Description: Here is an Indian Head or commonly called "Buffalo" nickel from 1917 and minted in Denver to add to your collection. This type was issued from 1913-1938 and is composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel. The first year of issue was in 1913 and had two distinct varieties. The first (Type I) showed the bison on a mound and the second (Type II) shows the bison on a redesigned thinner, straight line. The nickel was designed by James Earle Fraser and the mint mark is located on the reverse, below "FIVE CENTS". Coins minted in Philadelphia do not have a mint mark. This nickel appears in a VERY GOOD circulated condition. The winning bidder will receive the coin in the pictures provided. If you would like additional pictures, just let us know.
