1920s Cloche Hat French 'Paradise' Label Green Leaves Theme 22.5 Size

Description: I've never seen a 1920s cloche quite like this one; it's almost like something the famous early film maker Georges Melies would have dreamed up for a fantasy forest woman to wear! The front is a many petaled flower in dappled ombre green cloth with a center stamen cluster; surrounding this is an olive green silk ruched wire-shaped edging which stands up a bit cheekily in back, and in the very back of the hat following the contours of the head is a beautiful plaid green horsehair woven area with a huge green striped silk grosgrain bow covering the back. The interior lining is yellow-green chartreuse silk with the black and gold center label featuring a bird of paradise and the words 'Paradise Hats, Paris, New York, Chicago.' In really excellent condition, the interior silk lining is only showing wear on the very edge and there are no external issues at all. Measures just a bit more than 22 1/2 inches circumference.
