The obverse has Count Zeppelin facing right in high relief within a hexagon with legend around and date at bottom. The reverse has a world globe also in high relief with the north pole center and major stops of the flight and location around TOKIO, LOS ANGELES, LAKEHUST AND FRIEDRICHSHAFEN the origin of the flight.
