Description: Offered here is a Marklin 1105 tin wind-up open bed truck model. Built for several years from the mid 1930's in Germany. These were a construction kit with the chassis (1101) being the basis for several body options. This particular 1105 was originally exported to France. This truck is very complete having its box(correct end label)-manual(general history/parts lists)-assembly instruction sheet-correct Marklin logo/winding key-and small litho tin which originally held the small parts and screws. Truck is fully operational-winds up-steering works-hand brake works-full suspension intact. Door and tailgate work and spare tire in place. I have taken this completely apart and cleaned and fit all parts for good as new performance. Winds up and has strong 'motor' spring. Paint has the usual wear and scratches as would be found on a toy almost 80 years old! Box has wear and scuffs, stains and the manual has some tattering but very nice and matched to box. Displays great with box as backdrop-finding a complete 1930's toy in the box=priceless!
