Description: Nicely circulated coin with one of four known repunched mint marks of which two discovered by Miller, and one each by Fivaz-Stanton and Talbert. This is the Talbert RPM. The close-up photo displays the second punching diagnostics on the upper end loop of the "D". Our opinion is that the coin is strong EF, or weak AU. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 PLEASE NOTE OUR POLICIES: EC&A regards Customer Service extremely important to us for your satisfaction. We wish to always provide a positive and trustworthy experience, and we offer completely unconditional no-questions-asked returns as long as we are notified within the 30-calendar day return window. OUR RAW COIN POLICY: We highly recommend that any buyer of any coins online have the necessary knowledge and numismatic expertise in all aspects of the coin collecting industry, values, pricing, and a strong understanding of the condition and grading standards as recommended by the American Numismatic Association before purchasing or bidding on any coin from us, or from any other source. We offer a 30-day inspection period, however, we cannot and will not guarantee any subjective opinion (that being a certain grade or condition) of a third party, nor guarantee that any mint error coin variety, die stage or die state mentioned will be labeled as such if it is not one recognized by the third party for labeling purposes. There are literally hundreds of known mint errors and varieties that are not recognized by all third parties for labeling purposes. Some recognize some, some recognize others that some don’t. We assume no liability or responsibility for any known mint errors that any third party refuses to recognize for their labeling purposes. Please know your coins, and the policies of the grader you choose. The policies of all the third-parties about what they do or don't recognize are just too vast and numerous for us to mention here. We seek out and sell ALL known mint errors, not just the ones recognized by the professional graders. For example, a certain year/mint coin may have three known mint errors, but one grader may recognize just one, while another may recognize just two or all three. Any mention we may make of the condition of any raw coin, is truly only our opinion and not to be confused with being “a certain numerical grade”. The "condition" of a coin refers only to it's wear from Poor to Uncirculated including the terms BU, GEM and SUPERB GEM, and what it may have been exposed to in handling. A "grade" is a numerical number from 1 to 70. We do try very hard to be precise in our opinion of condition, but we just cannot guarantee that any third party will agree with our subjective opinion of condition, as they may assign a different opinion that may be a higher opinion, a lower opinion or the same opinion of ours, yours or another third party. We do not offer these numerical grades on raw coins in our listings. We do not second-guess a buyer’s reasons for purchasing our coins. If the buyer feels that once received, any coin purchased does not meet the buyer’s own criteria and wants to return it, the buyer is then obligated to request a return of the coin within the parameters of the 30-calendar day period for a full refund. Please understand that any request to return MUST be initiated within the eBay-sanctioned buyer/seller protection 30-day window. We cannot accept returns after the 30-day period commencing on the day that tracking shows delivery. We feel that 30 days is sufficient time to decide. OUR GRADED COIN POLICY: We guarantee that any graded and encapsulated coin listed that has been graded accordingly of the grade that appears on the holder by the third party company that has encapsulated it, to be the grade the third party assigned it. We cannot guarantee any graded coin that has been resubmitted to the same company, or as a crossover to another company, that has resulted in a different condition or grade, or that has been encapsulated in a different holder and/or registration number than as it was sold. RETURN POLICY: We offer FREE no-questions-asked returns within thirty days measured from the day that tracking shows the item delivered. Simply click on “Return This Item” and a free return label will be generated and provided for any reason chosen as long as the request is within 30 days of the date delivered. Once the coin has been received and checked back into inventory, the buyer will be refunded, and is expected to be processed within two days. Because we try our very best to describe our coins as honestly as possible, some of our description is simply our subjective opinion that others may not agree with, and being that you will receive a free return label anyway, we kindly urge our clients not to choose "Not as Described", and simply choose "Changed my Mind" or "Just Didn't Like it". These reasons will still generate a free label. . FAQ’s: Frequently Asked Questions: 1. Is the coin in the listing the coin I will receive? YES. We do not sell coins that aren’t the coin photographed and described. Period. 2. Has this coin been cleaned? When we list a coin that is known to have been improperly cleaned, we will advertise it as such. However, we do sell raw coins and have a large inventory whereby one may escape our scrutiny. By selling raw coins, we also depend on your knowledge and numismatic expertise to inspect and determine the condition in which you decide whether to keep it or not within the 30- day returns period. Our coins, graded or not, are sold “as is”. We do not use deception as a marketing tool. Furthermore, normal circulation should not be considered or misconstrued as cleaning. All circulated coins have been handled by many people and have been exposed to all kinds of environments. 3. What if the coin I buy is found to be improperly cleaned and your listing does not claim it has been improperly cleaned? While we do not make such listings intentionally, we do offer FREE 30-day returns, so there is no problem with returning it as long as it is within the 30-day returns period. We suggest that since we already offer free returns, to please use the returns reason, “just did not like it”. We also urge those that cannot ascertain the condition of a coin to seek a local evaluation from your local coin expert that can give (usually) free and instant evaluations so that a return can be initiated within the 30-day period. We do not use deception as a marketing tool nor do we second-guess a buyer's reason for purchasing a coin and feel that everyone has a varying degree of flexibility of their own acceptance of any coin that they may buy from any source. Please know that we do sell raw coins, and we never clean coins. We would rather protect the buyer by offering FREE shipping and FREE returns for a totally cost- free experience if and when a buyer decides to return a coin. We want our customers to be happy with their purchase, and we certainly do not want you to keep a coin you don’t want to keep! 4. You mentioned a grade in your listing. Can I expect that grade to be the same as the grade a third-party grader will assign it? First of all, if we mention a condition this is just our opinion of the condition of the coin. It is not “a grade”. A grade is a numerical number…a grade that is assigned to coins that have been graded by a third party. We never use grades in our raw coin listings due to grading being very subjective. In fact, with the system eBay uses to list a coin, the listing cannot even be published if we list a coin with a grade without listing the grading company within the listing. If that is attempted, the attempt to publish the listing will fail. We must be very clear on this subject. Any mention of condition is only our opinion, and a third party grader may assign a higher opinion, a lower opinion or the same opinion that we may mention, and will also assign a numerical grade. It is solely up to the buyer to ascertain the condition of the coin in order to make a personal decision to either keep the coin, or to return it within 30 days of receipt. 5. Can I send your coin off to be graded? If you purchase a coin from us, it becomes your coin of which you can decide what you want to do with it. But remember, coins that are sold raw must be returned raw and in the same condition and holder in which they were received if it’s decided to return it. 6. I sent my coin off to a third party, and they have returned it and said that the coin is not the variety you claimed it was in your listing. Can I return it? The quick answer is “no” if it has been encapsulated and/or is past the 30-day returns window. The reason being is that just because they don’t recognize the variety and refuse to label it as such, this does not mean the variety does not exist. It’s simply because they refuse to label all known varieties. An 1898 Morgan Dollar has fourteen known varieties (VAM), but may only recognize one for labeling purposes. This does not mean the other thirteen do not exist. By sending it off, a raw coin sold is not considered the same coin returned. We may, however, reserve the right to accept it back, but if we sold it as a raw coin and returned encapsulated, or past thirty days, it will only qualify for a partial refund. 7. You have a variety coin listed that I cannot find any information or published values on. Is this an actual real variety? Yes. We don’t list varieties that simply do not exist. If it’s listed, it’s known, but it may be because a professional grader may not recognize the particular variety. The most respected grader will not recognize a 1914/3-S Buffalo cent in attributing it on a holder, but another one does. It is because each company has its own standards it abides by with certain mint errors. There are actually 39 known varieties of the 1888 Indian Head cent, but the most respected third-party grader recognizes only 5 and will not attribute the other 34. Many times, it’s the amount of “significance” the grader applies to the variety. 8. Can I return the coin for a full refund free of charge? YES! We offer FREE returns on coins for a full refund IF the coin is returned within our 30-day free return window, and in the same condition and holder/flip in which it was sent to you in, for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER. This ensures that you will receive a full refund in keeping with the eBay-sanctioned 30-day guarantee for buyer protection. 9. Are your prices firm and can I make an offer? Our prices are usually very fair for the coin being offered. We rarely accept offers, but we have been known to. It is also important to note that our prices are not necessarily tied to any published value for any particular grade. When we assign a price, we take into consideration its rarity, condition, market demand, variety, die marriage, die stage/state, and eye- appeal in various degrees from one attribute to the next that all plays into its rarity and desirability. This includes coins we attribute to a known variety that a professional grader may not recognize and therefore has no published value of it.
