Description: ND (1935) Hong Kong One Dollar Banknote Government Of Hong Kong Currency George V Image - Pick Number 316 Good Fine or Better For your World Currency Collection-PCU1119 Details Description: A nice fine or better banknote from Hong Kong. This is The Government of Hong Kong Not Dated (ND), but known to have been issued in 1940-1941 one dollar currency note. The banknote which was issued by the "The Government of Hong Kong" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. has a dark blue design on multicolored underprint with the image of King George V in an oval frame to the right of the front. The back is blue and displays the denomination in the center as well in all four corners. The front also displays the denomination as well as one signature in black. It also displays the serial number. This particular note has the serial number C/I 993677 displayed twice in black on the front. The note is undated, but is known to have been issued in the period 1940-1941. The banknote has no watermark that we could find. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: 1940-41. Printer: Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd., New Malden Surrey, England Size: The banknote measures ~4 7/8" by ~3 1/4". Pick Number: P 316. Condition: I would grade this banknote as a good fine or better with all the details being fairly well preserved. The note has several vertical folds and horizontal folds. The note still retains some stiffness, but is fairly soiled and has some staining. It has no tears or splits but has considerably wrinkled and may have been pressed. This is a well used note, that have been abused but still intact. The corners have wear, rounding and some losses. The edges show roughness and have tiny nicks all along the edges especially where the folds end. The note shows staining, soiling, and some discoloration especially on the back . There is staining especially on the back. The note is a bit curled and the paper is not completely flat when not in a holder. The not has no pinholes, no tears,, no graffiti, and no splits.
