This 1959 hood insulation is 1" thick which is correct (others are selling 1/2" thick, which is to thin and not the correct thickness). The one side is grey and the other side is black. The insulation kit fits in under side structure of the hood. This pad is die cut and ready to install. Spray adhesive is recommended to attach the hood insulation pad to the underside of the hood. Your can get the spray adhesive at your local auto parts store. Please ask questions.
