Description: 1990-91 Michigan State 20 Basketball Team Complete Set This is a 20 card set produced by Collegiate Collection. Production estimates for this set are about 5,000 sets, and, generally it is not considered an easy find within the College Basketball Card market. The key to this set is the FIRST CARD OF STEVE SMITH, long time NBA Star and team member on the 2003 NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs. The other notable card in this set is TOM IZZO. To my knowledge, this is the first Licensed card ever issued of Tom Izzo, the current Head Coach , NCAA Champion Coach, and NEW member of the Basketball Hall of Fame. At the time this set was issued, Izzo was the Associate Head Coach to Jud Heathcote. Other key cards are: Coach Jud Heathcote, Shawn Respert, Matt Steigenga, Mike Peplowski, and the "Spartans Captains" card with Steve Smith and Matt Steigenga.... Note, this is NOT the very similar looking Michigan State All-Time Greats set (that was mass-produced).
