Description: Stunning antique 19th century gown! Gown is a beautiful light green silk and is heavily embellished with ornate Ottoman, Turkish raised gold metallic embroidery. The ensemble is a jacket and skirt. There are inner stays in the jacket and close with hook and eye. The underarms have a slight discoloration. The embroidery is raised gold metallic and is beautifully worked. The design has a large urn on the skirt with a large bouquet of flowers, vines, and leaves. The workmanship is superb. The skirt has a lovely train in back. There are a few light stains on the skirt. Slight storage odor. The dress has had many areas of repairs that were done by an experienced restorer. There are still some areas that need restoration. The dress is mainly in good strong condition, even with the repairs. This is a magnificent ensemble and a rare find!!! Measures: shoulder to shoulder - 14", Bust - 33 inches, Waist - 27:, Length 57". All pieces are sold in vintage condition. I do my best to accurately describe condition.
