2 pr Innovative Percussion Drumsticks IP-1 & IP-2 VG To Unused Condition

Description: 2 pr Innovative Percussion Drumsticks IL-1 & IP-2 Innovative Percussion is a drumstick and mallet manufacturer based in Nashville, Tennessee. The early roots of Innovative Percussion are based in Nashville Tennessee where the company resides today. Two university percussion majors began making their own mallets when the market place could not fulfill their needs. This mallet making skill blossomed over the years into today's Innovative Percussion. IP-1 GENERAL / HICKORY The IP-1 is designed for general concert snare drum use.  The stick is constructed of white hickory resulting in a denser and slightly heavier stick weight.  The IP-1 is designed slightly thicker and longer for increased control and balance.  The elongated oval bead creates a darker sound, while the short taper increases the tip weight for better response at lower dynamic levels.  The IP-1 is an excellent multi-purpose concert snare drumstick.  Features: * White Hickory * Elongated Oval Bead, Short Taper * Length: 16 9/16" * Diameter: .650"   * IP-JC2 JAMES CAMPBELL MODEL #2 / LAMINATE The James Campbell signature concert snare drumstick models were designed by James Campbell, Professor of Music and Director of Percussion Studies at the University of Kentucky, and Principal Percussionist with the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra. The IP-JC2 is constructed of laminated birch, and is a larger or maestoso version of the IP-JC model.  It features an elongated teardrop bead and a very long taper.  It also tapers slightly from the butt of the stick to the shoulder from a thickness of.680” to .645”.     Features * Constructed of laminated birch * Elongated teardrop bead * Very long taper * Length: 16 ½” * Diameter: .680”-.645” (butt to shoulder) * Elongated Bead I sell many authentic, cool Drums, Drumsticks, mallets and Percussion. A drumstick is a type of percussion mallet used particularly for playing snare drum, drum kit, and some other percussion instruments, and particularly for playing unpitched percussion. Drumsticks of the traditional form are also made from metal, carbon fibre, and other modern materials. The tip or bead is the part most often used to strike the instrument. Originally and still commonly of the same piece of wood as the rest of the stick, sticks with nylon tips have also been available since 1958. In the 1970s, an acetal tip was introduced. Tips of whatever material are of various shapes, including acorn, barrel, oval, teardrop, pointed and round. The shoulder of the stick is the part that tapers towards the tip, and is normally slightly convex. It is often used for playing the bell of a cymbal. It can also be used to produce a cymbal crash when applied with a glancing motion to the bow or edge of a cymbal, and for playing ride patterns on china, swish, and pang cymbals. The shaft is the body of the stick, and is cylindrical for most applications including drum kit and orchestral work. It is used for playing cross stick and applied in a glancing motion to the rim of a cymbal for the loudest cymbal crashes. The butt is the opposite end of the stick to the tip. Some rock and metal musicians use it rather than the tip. There are two main ways of holding drumsticks: * Traditional grip, in which right and left hands use different grips. * Matched grip, in which the two hand grips are mirror-image. Traditional grip was developed to conveniently play a snare drum while riding a horse, and was documented by Sanford A. Moeller in The Art of Snare Drumming (1925). It was the standard grip for kit drummers in the first half of the twentieth century and remains popular. Matched grips became popular towards the middle of the twentieth century, threatening to displace the traditional grip for kit drumming. However the traditional grip has since made a comeback, and both types of grip are still used and promoted by leading drummers and teachers. So Don’t worry about ‘getting it right’ – you won’t find the perfect stick right away, and it takes some experimentation with trying different sticks to discover what you prefer. Over time, as you try more and more sticks, you’ll develop a more intuitive understanding of which ones feel the best to you – and you’ll start to become more aware of what you personally prefer. At the end of the day, you should always just play with the size of stick you feel most comfortable with.  Whichever stick feels right for you is the best stick – it doesn’t matter what other people are using! If you ever need more power or speed, you can always change it up later. To paraphrase a famous drumstick advert: ‘The only thing that should come between you and your drums is your favourite stick!’ But I really love sticks, sticks, sticks and more sticks so if you just love sticks just like me check back often. All cymbals drumsticks and percussion are sold as is with no returns. IP-LD LALO DAVILA MODEL / HICKORY Lalo Davila, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Percussion Studies at Middle Tennessee State University, has designed the IP-LD signature model concert snare drumstick to serve as an educational tool for the beginning snare drummer.  The IP-LD is constructed of white hickory, and features a slightly smaller diameter to better accommodate the smaller hands of a beginning player. The barrel shaped bead creates a full sound quality at any dynamic level, while the slightly longer taper results in an increased rebound and excellent balance. The Lalo Davila signature model is an excellent general purpose concert snare drumstick and the perfect tool for the percussion educator teaching young snare drummers. Features: * White Hickory * Barrel Shaped Bead * Long Taper * Length: 16 3/8" * Diameter: .635" * IP-JZ DRUMSET MODEL "BIG BAND STICK" IP-JZ "Big Band Stick" is a truly unique design in our Innovation Series. This model is constructed using White hickory and  features a quick taper that leads to a thicker collar and an elongated bead. These features combine to create that iconic cymbal sound that Jazz music is known for and provides a sooth rebound and quickness around the drums at all dynamic levels.
