Feb 25, 2023 Awesome design, made a betta/shrimp tank complete with a planted bottom, with chipped lava rock as the substrate, the mesh is small enough to allow you to use rhizome plants and 1/4 inch rock with no issues, I would recommend not using stratum as some of the smaller granules might fall through and obviously wouldn’t use clay or sand based substrates as they would pass through the mesh as well. The easy clean/water change design is brilliant and works flawlessly. Recommend for anyone thinking of adding a low maintenance tank to their office. Peter B.
