Description: "Blue Rhythm" (lacquer) finish is not original. It had been poorly re-wrapped when received. "Blue Rhythm" is a finish Carlton did produce back in their day. The hoops, claws and tension rods are also not original. White marine pearl inlays pieced together from vintage orphaned hoops. This was a fun finish to re-produce with all the duco projects I've had lately. Sounds just as good as it looks! I am a big fan of playing these larger, thin bass drums as kick drums in a set.
