I am not sure how the spots got there.(I will try to get the scratches/light scratches out as much as I can). These go over the upper frames you have now! The zippers do work. All you do it cut off the old canvas and slide these on. This is for the Driver upper half door Skin ONLY MUST BE INSTALLED AT TEMPERATURE 70 F OR WARMER OR WARM IT UP WITH HAIR DRYER. IF IT IS NOT WARM ENOUGH IT WILL ACT LIKE IT'S TOO SMALL FOR THE FRAME. IF YOU USE A HAIR DRYER DO NOT GET THE HAIR DRYER TOO CLOSE TO THE CANVAS OR IT WILL DAMAGE IT.
