Description: Antique quilt TOP. Birds in the Air~Flying Birds~Flock of Geese pattern. Dates from the 1870-1880s. Filled with wonderful old period prints. All cottons. Found at a very rural farmstead outside of Appleton Wisconsin. Hand and machine pieced. Looks like it was never used~not taken off another project or quilt. Nicely made. Measures about 80 x 70 This is for cutting or study. There are some chewed edges, a few holes, some small stains, yellowing and some small faded or lightened spots. Fabrics feel sturdy and strong. It's just been stored for a long time! Lots of good! I have not cleaned or treated this top. No odors. Non smoking environment.
