Description: This listing is for an antique dollhouse set ca 1920. To find a complete and matching set this old is very rare. It is in the original retailers box bottom--even with a label! It would make a great display in a cabinet, hanging on the wall or for actual use in your doll house or diorama. Some of the piece are still tied in place with the original cord, some of them signed ‘Germany’ in blue ink. It consists of a sink with drainboard and two faucets, electric stove, table and chair, cupboard and refrigerator. The doors open and close. The label on the end of the box reads: 1 set 903/42 green. I noticed that in some of images, the furniture looks blue but it all is the same color green (as in 2nd and 3rd pictures). Dimensions: The box measures 9” by 12” and is 2.5” high. The table stands 2.25” off the ground. The cupboard is the tallest piece at 6" tall. This set is 1:12 scale. More importantly, as the label implies, this is also Doll Furniture that can be used for your doll or diorama display with or without the box or a doll house. Keep the box in a drawer for posterity. There is a sticker inside the box that gives individual prices per piece. That implies that the retailer would have been willing to break up the display to sell individual pieces separately. Luckily for collectors, that did not happen in this case. This set is in generally excellent condition--esp. given its age and still in original box. Furnishings have original paint…the stove has a paint flake as shown. The box sides have occasional creasing that has been conservatively reinforced with clear tape.
