Description: Solid Brass helmet/ mask , very old and very well made. Seems a good part of it was attached leather (not available) yet can clearly see where the leather was fastened to the brass- with many brass straps and screws 360° around this item, 2 threaded air inlets are on top, along with means to secure to a harness. This is a very interesting find, I’ve had several top experts say this was some type of very old salvage use Diving apparatus, also heard was possibly used in mussel diving way back, its too bad the leather is well gone at this point, maybe someone else has seen something like this? If so please get back. I am offering it for sale for a serious collector measures approximately 10”x 8”
