Description: Beautiful, heavy duty SOLID BRASS trunk lock marked "Eagle Lock Company, Terryville, Conn. USA". Rare, high quality, and very hard to find in great condition! With one original Eagle barrel key. The brass lock is excellent with lightly engraved swirl designs. Well made with brass rivets and a steel receiver piece and built in lid lifter.Minimal age wear including a few light scratches. This style lock needs a hole approx. 1 1/2" diameter for the top receiver piece. (See pictures for details) The lock is 6" tall without the receiver and the top piece is 3 1/4" wide. It's a very popular style lock for good quality trunks of the late 1800s to early 1900s. MUCH heavier weight than the new reproduction locks. Also, the old original trunk locks prior to the 1950's didn't have those hasp loops on them as the repro's do. A great looking lock if you want something original looking for your trunk. I combine shipping when possible to save you money. Please see my other listings of antique trunk hardware and antiques. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
