Description: This is a great antique casket carriage made by C. W. Price Patent 1897. It is a steel frame fitted with bronze acorn style nuts . Both ends are embellished with ornate scroll corner pieces. Small spoked wheels in front and larger spoked wheels in back. The original rubber tires are still intact and roll well. There are some indentations in the tires from having been stored for years resting on the same item. The truck is very solid and rolls well. The steel has some surface blemishes from years of use and storage. Still looks good. It measures 44" in length, 18" across, and 20" tall. It has 2 small spikes on the top frame to hold the wood coffins of the day in place. It has a latch to hold the truck securely closed when not in use. An early truck.
