Description: This very solid and sturdy doll trunk has seen three generations of love. In 1950 it was the carry case for a Toni doll and her wardrobe; in 1970's-80's it carried Fisher Price My Friend dolls; most recently it housed American Girl Wellie Wishers and their clothes. It is as solid now as it was 70 years ago. The brass hardware is solidly attached and functioning as it should. The case closes securely. There is no key. The original red check interior paper was covered with the blue flowered contact paper in 1980. The wood drawer slides in and out nicely--the knob has been replaced with a thumbtack knob. There is a rod for hanging clothes securely in place above the drawer. A doll is held in place by the thin rope on the open side of the trunk. The trunk weighs approximately 10 pounds. The trunk is 18" high x 10" wide x 10" deep. Shipped UPS.
