Description: An antique 10” porcelain tray, tea pot, creamer, and sugar bowl manufactured by Nippon. All pieces are in excellent condition except for the creamer handle which was broken and glued back on several years ago. The tray feels heavy, like it is porcelain over a metal, and the hand painted center figure is slightly off-center. The manufacturer mark is illegible on the tray. The set was a family gift in the 1950’s but I do not know the original purchase date or location. The manufacturer mark indicates it is over 100 years old. Maple Leaf Nippon - Maple Leaf Nippon; found in green, blue & magenta. Mark was used by Morimura Gumi as early as 1891 and was used until 1911.
