Description: Rare antique set of two travel glass perfume/scent bottles with stoppers in a velvet hinged case. The set is unmarked. To the best of my knowledge this set was made in France sometime during mid to late 1800s, could be earlier. The bottles are made of clear pressed glass with faceted stoppers. The case is made of velvet with a leather insert (?). Iām not quite sure whether it is leather or some other material, but it is decorated with floral scrolls. The liner in the interior is silk or satin. The box is accented with metal framing and hinges. Condition: AS IS - there is wear to velvet throughout, the middle insert on the exterior is also show wear and wear to decorations. The lining and interior has wear, staining and other age and use related issues. One of the bottles has chips and damage around the neck area. Use related marks. Wear on the underside. The hinge is in working condition. Minor flea bites on the bottles. Despite the imperfections, this is a unique antique piece. Please see pictures for more details. Measures: the bottles approximately 4.25ā H with the stopper inserted. The case is about 4.60āH and about 4.5ā wide.
