Description: Antique Porzellanfabrik Oscar Schaller & Co. Black/Purple and Ivory Lusterware 19 piece Tea Set. Manufactured in Bavaria Germany between 1892-1918. Maker's mark and "Bavaria handpainted" stamped on bottom of all pieces. Blue and yellow butterfly and floral pattern with hand-painted purple/gray iridescent stripes. Set includes: 1 teapot w/lid, 1 sugar bowl w/lid, 1 creamer, 4 tea cups, 6 saucers, and 6 side plates. Luster in hand-painted stripes is diminished on some pieces, and wear of butterfly motif is present. Two saucers have deeper patina in the hand-painted stripes. One cup has chip on rim, and there is staining on some cups, and crazing present on the backs of two saucers. Please refer to the photos for signs of wear described. This is a lovely set in Very Good Antique Condition.
