Antique Porzellanfabrik Oscar Schaller & Co Lusterware "Butterfly" Tea Set

Description: This is an Antique Porzellanfabrik Oscar Schaller & Co Lusterware 19 Piece Tea Set with hand painted Butterfly Artwork, Made in Germany. This Set is in Excellent condition. All Pieces, except Sugar Bowl, have no cracks, chips, or crazing. ***NOTE*** The Sugar Bowl has a broken handle that has been glued back on. See last picture for close up picture. I considered throwing the Sugar Bowl out since the set was in excellent condition otherwise but thought maybe someone might still want it. Also, most paint is in excellent condition, but there is wear to some areas of the paint from normal use. examples of this are shown in close up in the 2nd and 3rd from last pictures. The hand paint artwork is very interesting with the dark accent and border paint being somewhat of an iridescent gun metal gray. Each Piece is marked on the bottom with Schaller & Co's maker's mark that was used between 1892 - 1918. In 1918 Schaller & Co changed their company name and maker's mark. In 1950 the company was renamed Winterling Co. This 19 Piece Set includes;1 - Teapot - 6 1/2" tall by about 6" in diameter and weighs 1 LB 9 OZ.1 - Coffee Pot - 9 1/2" tall by about 5 1/4" in diameter and weighs 2 LBS.1 - Creamer pitcher - 5" tall by 3 3/4" in diameter and weighs 9 OZ.1 - Sugar Bowl - 4 3/4" tall by about 4 1/2" in diameter and weighs 13 OZ.1 - Dinner Plate - 10" in diameter and weighs 1 LB 1 OZ.5 - Salad Plates - 7 3/8" in diameter and weighs 8 OZ.5 - Saucers - 5 3/4" in diameter and weighs 5 OZ.4 - Teacups - 2 1/8" tall by 4" in diameter and weighs 4 OZ. Most of the items I sell are estate finds, and are presented to you in, as is, as found condition. They are described to the best of my knowledge. Some wear is to be expected, unless described as flawless or mint. I cannot know everything about every item I offer, I do inspect each item and list all known flaws or damage.
