Antique Sessions Cathedral Gong, 1/2 Hour Strike Mantel Shelf Clock ~ Keeps Time Click images to enlarge Description This antique clock was acquired at an estate auction in Western Illinois. It is appealing, desirable & collectible. The Sessions Clock Company was formed in 1903, after William E. Sessions and his nephew Albert L. Sessions bought out the failing company of E.N.Welch Manufacturing. Sessions continued producing many of the same lines of clocks the Welch company had made. Around 1936 they ceased production of spring-wound clocks and concentrated on electrically driven clocks. We present this piece exactly as it was when we acquired it. No attempts to clean this item have been made by us. All functions work and it keeps good time. The key shown in the photos came with clock but it is not original to the clock. The photos are an accurate representation of condition. This clock measures approximately 13" x 9" x 5". This will make a fine addition to any home or collection.
