Description: Solid 14k gold watch from late 1800s early 1900s, with a solid 14k Gold chain and a 14k, light rose gold fob from about 1890; everything is stamped beside the fob but has been tested various times by myself and the previous owner when this fob was made; it wasn't uncommon to not stamp unique pieces like this, or it got rubbed off with age not strange with Gold, but in my opinion, I don't think it ever had one the gold mixture is a strong 14k almost more than 14k but less than 18k so it's most likely 15k a karate that was common during the Victorian era again pointing towards the fobs age. I haven't found a fob like it, so again I stick with 14k because that's verified just wanted future owners to know the fob is most likely a Victorian Era 15k gold standard in the 19th century and rare in modern times... This watch is stunning; it is the nicest Waltham I've owned condition; wise, this watch is in excellent condition other than for the microscopic dent. As seen in the picture, it's so tiny and unnoticeable that you can barely see it with the naked eye. The compass fob is a great unique piece of menswear history and is in excellent condition; besides, the glass is a tad foggy, with it being over 133 years old, but you won't find another like it swivels and self-leveling, and the compass works. The chain is in excellent condition no issues at all, and it is pretty hefty and extended; it's stamped and is solid 14k yellow gold; I have not been able to determine the age of the chain. None of these items are filled or plated; it's 100% solid 14k gold to ensure that's we'll stated. I don't want to sell it because I love rocking it with my classic suits, but I'm looking to put some more capital to work in the market. The item is personalized with a few letters and the date 1919, and a short phrase, as seen in the picture. The spring for the face cover is in perfect condition and works excellently; you often see those springs get broken and not work right, but this watch is tight and ready to rock. The watch's movement is as smooth as butter and has never been overwound. The movement has 15 jewels...Serious buyers only. I will buy you a watch box on Amazon for up to 50 dollars; after you take possession of the piece, you can pick it out within the price range, then give me the product ID, and I will take care of you. I've done this for 15 years, working with various types of investment, so I love pleasing my customers. I usually don't sell online, but I thought I would try. I'm more of a collector than a seller, but when I sell, it's quality pieces.….. Watches in this good of shape are few and far between all 3 of the case covers are solid 14k you often see one of those made of another type of metal to lessen the cost but not with this watch it's a solidarity case which is a company known for making high-end precious metals watch cases in the late 19th century, Waltham is an iconic American watch; even President Lincoln owned one. The Gift I promised is just a gift; it is not owed, but if you are a good buyer and don't do a return, you receive the gift. you should ask any questions you might have before hand or have me send more pictures. I want to avoid having this gold watch floating around in the mail so it can get damaged or stolen—one of the main reasons I don't sell online is because I love my items and hate the thought of them in the mail so a return sounds like a nightmare to me. But I'm here to give you the facts not con you theirs nothing to hide with this classy piece of Victorian-era americona. I was told this was a mens size watch..
