Description: Antique Whitman & Barnes Co. 8" Monkey Wrench Made In USA As Found. See pictures to verify condition! This is a cool antique wrench/multi-tool. It has a lot of patina in the form of grease, dents, and wear, but it is still functional. The handle is in exceptional condition and retains its original shape with no cracks and only minor dents in the wood. The jaws do not close tight against each other due to dents. It took a while to identify the logo because of denting. It is a wide diamond with a "W" at the left point, a "&" at the top point, a "B" at the right point, and a "CO" at the bottom point. "MADE IN USA" occupies the center of the diamond. There is no name stamp on the tool. The wrench opens to 1 5/16". It doesn't appear to have any more play in the jaws than it would have had when it was new. It looks like it could have been used as a hammer at some point.
