The AnyTone AT-D878UV II Plus Dual-Band DMR Handheld Transceivers are robust and versatile portable devices designed for the 2m and 70cm bands, featuring DMR digital communications and support for traditional analog FM operation. These transceivers offer true VFO functionality, allowing operators to set frequencies and transmit parameters without being limited to pre-programmed channels, enhancing user convenience. Most settings can be accessed directly on the radio, or users can utilize the downloadable and freely available programming software. The AT-D878UV II Plus provides easily configurable output power, with options ranging from 1 to 7 watts on 2 meters (VHF) and 1 to 6 watts on 70cm (UHF). The feature-rich design includes the ability to store up to 4,000 digital and analog channels, configure 10,000 talk groups, and save an extensive 500,000 contacts. In analog mode, the transceivers support functions such as DTMF, CTCSS, and DCS, as well as coding with two-tone and five-tone signals. A tone burst of 1750 Hz is also available for added flexibility. Users can individually assign functions to five buttons on the radio, allowing for personalized adjustments. The 1.77-inch color LCD display is illuminated with varying brightness levels and remains easily readable even in sunlight. To conserve power, the display can be switched off after an adjustable period. The transceivers also offer the convenience of storing multiple DMR IDs, making it practical for shared usage.
