Description: This sale is for a signed art studio Bowl of Gerry Williams pottery which is in a glossy glaze. The form of the Bowl is so handsome. When you look at the inside of the Bowl you can see the ribbing design from the pottery wheel (visible on the front but not so prominent). The Bowl has a platform base. The piece is 4-1/2" tall and has an opening diameter of 5". The piece is in excellent condition and has no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Please see all my photos for they are part of my description. Gerry Williams (1926-2014) was the editor of Studio Potter Magazine and founder of the Studio Potter, a non-profit group. He was a nationally and internationally recognized artist/craftsman who made his designs in either stoneware or porcelain. He was the state of New Hampshire's First Artist Laureate in 1998 and in 2005 was awarded the New Hampshire Lotte Jacobi Living Treasure Award. His works have been displayed in many museums including the Smithsonian Institute, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA and the Currier Museum in New Hampshire. He was very active in the League of Arts and Crafts. Please be advised that the items I love and sell are vintage and therefore have had a previous history where the items were used. I will explain all the defects that I see, but I may miss a minor defect. International Buyers - This item will be shipped by Priority Mail only so I can provide you with tracking information and insurance, if available for your country.
