Description: The backbone of the Imperial Guard, infantry squads typically consists of a Sergeant and nine Guardsmen. However, as with the countless billions of Guardsmen within the Imperial Guard, infantry squads from different regiments can vary greatly between each other in tactics, training, equipment and other areas. About the only piece of gear universally common to almost every one of them is the ubiquitous Lasgun. This listing is for 73 plastic Citadel models, and the accompanying carrying case (classic red foam included). They are all assembled, and at least primed black, but the majority are fully-painted and flocked, and have a satin varnish. The painted models each bears a regiment number (197) on the right shoulderpad, and a squad designation on the left shoulderpad. There are four models with minor damage. I've broken down all the details on the state of the various models below; any that are not fully painted, are damaged, etc., will be specifically noted. Specific details below. If you're needing infantry to fill out your Imperial Guard - I mean, Astra Miliaturm army, look no further! With just the models here, you could run 2x Platoon Command Squads (CC and DC), 4x Infantry Squads (C1, then C2, D1, and D2 with the Mortar teams), a Cadian Command Squad (EC with one spare Lasgunner and the Standard Bearer), some Cadian Shock Troops (E1 with added Flamer and the last Lasgunner), and... If you can get away with it, that last squad, E2, could be some Catachan Jungle Fighters who decided to wear their flak jackets today, by adding the other two Flamers in and squinting REALLY hard at the grenade-launcher-shaped-Lasgun (it's totally a lasgun I swear). There's 540 points, with six teams to run around and perform actions, mob objectives, etc. But wait, there's more! All of these models fit into the classic Games Workshop plastic hardcase, which includes the original foam! It's in great shape, but does have some blue lettering painted on the clasps I haven't managed to remove with just a gentle alcohol wipedown. Acetone would certainly do it, or some light sanding, but I leave that to your discretion. Specific Breakdown of Models! The layout in the main photo lines up with the order I'm describing them. Across the top, the three squads are designated CC, DC, and EC, presumably for C, D, and E Command. Each consists of: Sgt w Chainsword & Laspistol (no helmet) Guardsman w Vox & Lasgun Guardsman w Grenade Launcher Heavy Weapons Team consisting of Guardsman operating Autocannon and Gaurdsman w Lasgun carrying Autocannon ammo. These are on separate bases, but both easily fit on whatever 50mm base you want to give them, if you need them to be fully rules-compliant. Squad EC does not have its Heavy Weapons Team. The next rank forward consists of C1, D1, and E1. Each of these consists of: Sgt w Chainsword & Laspistol (w helmet) Guardsman w Vox & Lasgun Guardsman x Grenade Launcher 5x Guardsman w Lasgun Squad C1 has, in addition to the above, a Guardsman w Missile Launcher and Guardsman w Lasgun carrying an extra missile. They are the Heavy Weapons team, as noted for the Command Squads. The next rank forward consists of C2, D2, and E2. These are identical to D1 and E1, with the following exceptions: C2 has a special-pose Guardsman w Lasgun who is hucking a grenade. I like this one. Two of the Guardsman w Lasgun models in E2 are missing the barrels of their Lasguns (technically the emitter shrouds, NERD). All the way up front, we have an assortment of models that aren't designated for the previous squads. From the left side of the photograph to the right, they are as follows: 2x Guardsman w Lasgun models, which are not fully painted. They still need squad designations and basing. Seven models designated AC: - 3x Guardsman w Flamer - 2x Guardsman w Grenade Launcher - Guardsman w Vox & Lasgun; this model's vox antenna and lasgun barrel are both missing. - Guardsman w Regimental Standard (well, a flag anyway) Finally, 3x Guardsman w Mortar and 3x Guardsman w Lasgun carrying additional mortar ammo. These comprise three Heavy Weapon Teams, as mentioned above... But they aren't fully painted. The gunners need skin, and all of them need white detailing and squad designation, as well as basing. The entire front row also needs varnish. I'm planning on uploading some more pictures in the next day or so.(Edit: New pictures added! Detail shots of the case, CC, C1, one of the mortar teams, and the three damaged models plus the two lasgunners that need paint.) Thanks so much for looking all this over! I hope I can help you get off the ground with the Imperial Guard. If you have any questions, or want additional pictures, or anything else, please reach out! The Emperor Protects!
