Description: Baltimore City Policeman, 04,1900s RPPC Photo, John F. Teves, Very Rare Click images to enlarge Description You are bidding on an original 1900's RPPC Photograph of a Baltimore City Policeman/Detective, 04, John Frederick Teves (1877-1923), Very Rare. Note: The third image is from the Baltimore Police Museum. Card size: 3 1/4" x 5 3/8". To see all of my "Antique Photos" click here. More Info: John was born in Baltimore on 7 July, 1877 to Henry L. and Lena (Schnappinger) Teves. His brother-In-Law Wade A. Hamlen (1878-1907) was also a Baltimore Policeman. He married Ophelia M. Hamlen in 1901 and had 6 children. I believe he was a Policeman/Detective for about 25 years (1899-1923). He died 14 September, 1923 and is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Anne Arundal Co, MD.
