Each lot contains: 2 hall of famers, 1 vintage star card (from 50's, 60's, or 70's), 1 star rookie card, 1 modern star card (2008-present), and 1 vintage common (1958-1979). See photos for the types of cards included. All pictured cards have been placed into lots but many more surprises will be found as there are hundreds of cards not pictured. I have built 250 lots so far. Most cards are Topps and most are NM+. Some of the vintage cards are in the VG-EX range but none are trashed. I won’t send you anything I wouldn’t be happy to have in my own collection. DEFINITIONS OF CARD TYPES So what can you expect in each pack? I will give examples of cards in each category... Hall of famers include players like: Cal Ripken, Nolan Ryan, Goose Gossage, Wade Boggs, Phil Niekro, Rickey Henderson, Bruce Sutter, Mike Schmidt, Jim Rice, Ozzie Smith, Harold Baines, Tom Seaver, etc. If the player is in the baseball hall of fame, they are (by definition) a hall of famer. Vintage stars are cards from 1979 and earlier. They are not hall of famers but good players who put up excellent numbers at some point in their career and/or made all-star teams. Examples include: Steve Garvey, Bill Madlock, Kent Tekulve, Jim Wynn, Bob Watson, Bob Stanley, Mickey Rivers, Amos Otis, Al Bumbry, Graig Nettles, Steve Rogers, Cookie Rojas, Dusty Baker, Andy Messersmith, Larry Bowa, George Scott, Mike Flanagan, Mike Hargrove, Darrell Evans, etc. Star rookie cards are rookie cards of star players 1980-present. Examples include: Bo Jackson, Mo Vaughn, Matt Williams, Lenny Dykstra, Ozzie Guillen, Juan Gonzalez, Ron Kittle, Reggie Sanders, Jimmy Key, Mike Greenwell, Chuck Finley, Todd Worrell, Alvin Davis, Mark Grace, Randy Myers, Eric Karros, Rob Dibble, Ramon Martinez, Will Clark, Roger Clemens, etc. A modern star card is a card of a star player from 2008-present. Examples include: Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Buster Posey, Manny Machado, Prince Fielder, Alex Rodriguez, Dustin Pedroia, Madison Bumgarner, Justin Verlander, Ian Desmond, Corey Seager, Kris Bryant, David Ortiz, Chris Sale, Curtis Granderson, Evan Longoria, etc. A vintage common is a common card from 1979 or earlier. A common, by definition, is a player who is neither a hall of famer or a star. Examples of commons are: Mike Thompson, Duane Kuiper, Vic Correll, Johnny LeMaster, Rick Miller, Johnny Oates, Gene Pentz, etc. I built each of these packs myself. I promise you they are as advertised. You will receive only 1 common in each pack and it will be a vintage card (1957-1979). VARIETY LOT SHIPPING POLICY Shipping is .99 per lot for the first three lots. Starting with the fourth lot, shipping drops to .33 (I will refund you the difference). If you buy 10+ lots you get free shipping for the entire order (all shipping costs will be refunded). This shipping discount is in addition to the volume pricing discount.
