Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful Royal Winton (Grimwades Ltd.) "Welbeck" pattern pedestal cake plate, c. 1930-50's. Produced in England by Royal Winton, this wonderful piece has nice coloration with a Chintz floral motif with a gilt edge. This pattern is number 2204 and was introduced in 1934. Measures 8 3/4" in diameter and 3" high. The cake plate is in excellent condition - free of chips, cracks or repairs. The plate sits on a chrome pedestal base. There is a small flaw in the transfer pattern on one of the corners (see photos) of the plate, no other noted flaws. This pattern is one of the most desirable vintage patterns which is highly collected and the individual pieces command pemium prices. The plate is mark "Royal Winton Grimwades, Made in England, Welbeck". We have a large collection of vintage Chintz which we will be listing so please check our eBay Store items for more.
