The holder is made of birch and maple and has a handy pencil holder on the bottom to keep your pen or pencil where you need it! (Sorry, the pen pictured is not included). A rawhide lace, threaded through the holes in the calendar “top”, the calendar “back” and the calendar pages keeps the holder together so it can be hung on a wall or laid flat on a counter or desk.
