"Why" you may ask? It's the only algae (apart form Valonia) that I've managed to grow from a spore in my aquariums. When stressed, Botryocladia tends to shed and regrow its grapes almost like freshwater plant. Just siphon the debris up and it should grow back in a week or two.*My blenny and angel tend to snipe a few grapes while I'm not looking, but they don't actually destroy the stem of the algae.DISCLAIMER:Due to the small size of my operation, I can't guarantee live arrival.
