TRUCK STAGE 1 CAM- 206/212 .525/.534 114+2 Our Truck cams were designed with low lift so GM LS2, LS3 and LS6 springs and pushrods can be used, making these the most affordable truck cams available. The Stg I cam is our entry level cam for use in practically any LS engine where great low speed torque is desired. With it's narrower LSA, this cam will make more low end torque than a production LS6 cam will. This is a step-up from the LM7 stock cam. Recommended for trucks used for towing and wanting for torque over stock. From toy haulers to trucks turned street rods, our V2 truck cam lineup has an answer for your needs. We have partnered with an OEM Tier 1 supplier to grind the new V2 series. The end result is a revised camshaft that provides more average torque, higher peak power, and a maximum depth heat treatment. The maximum heat treat depth is achieved by having cam cores made within a few thousandths of final grind size. As opposed to grinding all the camshafts from the same starting core, they each have their own respective core to begin. All of this is done in the Land Of The Free! Made In The USA! Truck Stage 1 V2 The Stage 1 grind is a popular choice for those looking to delete DOD/AFM, or just add some pep to your truck's step. With great power gains and OEM driving characteristics, this camshaft pairs wonderfully with stock converters. The V2 makes MORE POWER and MORE AVERAGE TORQUE than our previous Stage 1 Grind. Truck Stage 2 V2 The Stage 2 grind is a great middle-ground for people looking for added power, while keeping OEM driving characteristics in check. OEM torque converters play happily with these grinds. If you need to hook up to a trailer and hit the road for the weekend, this grind will give you more average torque than the previous iteration of the truck series. Truck Stage 3 V2 The Stage 3 V2 camshaft is an amazing all around grind for the truck enthusiast. You sacrifice some low end torque in the pursuit of more power farther in the RPM range, but gain an idle note that is DISTINCTLY BTR! With more average torque than the previous Stage 3 grind, it is still a tow-friendly camshaft, just not ideal for the every day hauler. An aftermarket converter is recommended with this grind. Truck Stage 4 V2 The Stage 4 grind has made a name for itself not only in the truck world, but in the street car market as well. This camshaft is suited for the consumer that want's maximum peak power, and isn't looking to use their truck as a work horse in the towing department. The grind moves the powerband upstream, so bottom end torque will not be ideal for the every day tow vehicle. The ideal note of this camshaft is distinct. It has the 'lope' that many are looking for when sitting at a stoplight. We recommend the use of an aftermarket torque converter when installing this camshaft. VALVE SPRINGS BTR .560" LS6 BEEHIVE VALVE SPRINGS .560" Lift LS6 Beehive Springs. Spring specs are 100 lbs @ 1.800", 285 lbs @ 1.240", coil bind @ 1.150", set of 16. Max lift .570". 1.250" @ 295 lbs pressure PUSHRODS BTR one-piece, centerless-ground chrome molybdenum (also known as chromoly) pushrods are designed for use in hot rods, oval track race cars, drag race cars and marine applications - so you KNOW they're up to the task in your LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6 or LS7! Additional Parts Guide: Pushrod Length Since stock pushrods are 7.400" long, the 7.400" hardened chromoly pushrod set is included in our Elite Camshaft Packages by default. If you think you'll need a different length, we got a wide variety to choose from. All lengths are the same high quality hardened chromoly, ready for years of hard abuse. These pushrods are all 5/16" diameter, .080" wall; if you'd like a different diameter or wall thickness, please place your order by phone. Additional Parts Guide: Timing Chain Upgrade While upgrading your camshaft, it's easy (and smart) to upgrade your timing chain. The GM is a nice budget upgrade over stock, while the Katech C5-R chain is a premium option. Additional Parts Guide: Oil Pump Upgrade Just like your timing chain, it's easy (and smart) to upgrade your oil pump during a camshaft upgrade. The GM 1258"LS6" Pump is a nice upgrade over the stock LS1 unit, while the Tick Performance Blueprinted & Ported "LS6" Pump is better for vehicles that will be abused often. Additional Parts Guide: AFM Delete Kit None of our Tick Performance Elite Series Camshafts are designed to work with Active Fuel Management (AFM, also known as Displacement on Demand or DOD), so you'll need to order this kit to install at the same time as our camshaft unless you've already deleted this system.
