Description: The item for sale is a group of 50 Canadian postage stamps that were issued during the early part of Queen Victoria's reign from 1870 -1894. The stamps are all of the 3 Cents denomination. Varieties of this stamp exist in the different shades of red; cinnabar, rose and wine. It is not easy to distinguish the shades in stamps that may have some fading from use. The appearance of the stamp colors in the lot are are not absolutely uniform. The 50 stamp group will be randomly pulled from a larger hoard of about 400 pieces. The stamps were used in postage and removed from envelopes. The stamps have varying degrees of cancellation as shown in the photograph. No awful stamps will be included. Photographed stamps are a random sample of the hoard.
