Description: C J S Purdy was a Master-level Australian player, noted as the first World Correspondence Champion, but also hailed by Bobby Fischer as a useful teacher and analyst. Purdy also became popular from his 20-year committment to editing and publishing his "Chess World" magazine (see my listings for the complete set). Around the turn of the century, Thinkers' Press obtained the rights to re-publish his book and selections from the magazine. What is offered is one volume of the complete collection of ALL of Thinkers' "Purdy" books. This offer is for Purdy's analyzations of every game from the World Championship matches of 1935, 1937 and 1972. Although it teaches basic principles, he writes in a compact, yet informative style which includes gems of advice. English algebraic notation. No index. 251 pages. Come back often as I am liquidating a large collection. I do refund excess shipping paid when you buy mutiple items.
