Description: One year old potted Chestnut tree seedlings. Grown from my own orchard stock in central Pennsylvania. American/Chinese hybrids seeds from Dunstans and 4th generation American/Chinese seed in 4" pots. Seedlings are typically 24" tall. Ready for fall planting or can be wintered over by heeling in for a spring planting. With proper care (tube/stake/occasional watering) these seedlings will grow rapidly with an upright branching habit and start to produce burs/nuts by approximately year 5. The orchard trees I show in the pictures are 8 year old seedlings from my stock, and 15 of those trees produced the nuts shown in the last picture. This sale is for the 1 year old seedlings in 4" pots only.
