Due to the rounded bottom of the bowl, you could also call this a Rhodesian. By the way, the light streaks on the stem in the first picture are not scratches. It's just how the grain took the stain. For 30 years, Clarence was a part time pipe maker, transitioning to full time for the last five years of his life. He was known to friends as the "Mechanic" and the "Magician" due to his skill as a pipe maker. The rim of this lightly smoked pipe is sound and in-round, and is also free of carbon staining. The vulcanite stem displays only a couple of very minor tooth scratches. This pipe does not take a filter. Pipe holders not included in auction.
