Description: Store Item: COLONIAL EDISON INSTITUTE Henry Ford Chippendale Mahogany Lowboy Claw & Ball Description: Made in Zeeland Michigan by Colonial Manufacturing, this licensed reproduction is an exact replica of an 18th century Philadelphia Chippendale lowboy found in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. The lowboy features a large single dovetailed constructed drawer over three smaller dovetailed drawers with the lower center drawer having a shell or scallop hand carved. The lowboy sits upon carved cabriole legs with carved scrolls, the carved knees feature shells terminating in hand carved claw and ball feet.The Colonial Henry Ford Collection represents the finest furniture made in the United States. Each piece was hand made and hand finished. An extremely expensive piece new, this is your chance to own an outstanding lowboy at a fraction of its original price.
